a) Log your shots and create an edit decision list - To log your shots, create a usable and unusable folder and rename all of your files in detail. To create an EDL can be found here.
b) Produce and review your first offline edit - think of this as a rough cut. Your review should highlight changes you will make
c) Produce your second edit with appropriate and effective transitions and visual effects - print screen premiere pro settings to evidence your transitions and effects briefly explaining why you chose this.
d) Produce your final edit with linked audio to visuals and apply relevant audio effects and transitions - print screen premiere pro and briefly explain your audio (music, foley, adr) choices.
To achieve the higher grades your editing needs to meet professional standards. This means using effects to fit with the form and ensuring that every edit is enhancing the meaning of the documentary.

original TV programme by: a) logging rushes and creating edit decision list b) producing and reviewing an off line edit c) applying appropriate visual effects and transitions d) linking audio to visuals and applying audio effects P4 Learners objectively
M2 Learners’ editing is proficient and post-production additions are used effectively to create meaning within the planned outcome. The final edit of the 5-minute segment of an original TV programme
produced by learners is generally of a good technical standard and quality
D2 The final edit of the 5-minute segment of an original TV programme produced by learners is generally of a high technical standard and quality. It will be generally skilful with continuity and post-production additions being utilised to enhance meaning, within the intentions of the production
